Q: What inspired you to become a physical therapist, and how did you decide on this career path?

A: From a young age, I was always active and interested in how the body works. Following a series of sports injuries throughout my teenage years, I became fascinated with how my physical therapists were able to get me back to doing the things I loved most. This led me to pursue a career in the healthcare field and become a Physical Therapist as my profession.

Q: What's the most rewarding aspect of being a physical therapist for you?

A: I have treated and impacted the lives of patients in most of New York City and Brooklyn, but nothing is more rewarding than helping the people in my hometown of Bay Ridge.

Q: Can you share a particularly memorable patient success story that illustrates the impact of your work?

A: While I was first starting out as a new grad, I had a challenging home care case involving a successful physician at the end of their career who needed me for physical therapy. Their life was greatly impacted by a traumatic fall and hip surgery that made them become bedbound. The structured care that I provided not only got them walking, but able to get to their office and treat patients again.

Q: How has being a physical therapist in a dynamic city like NYC influenced your practice and the challenges you encounter?

A: NYC challenges you with all walks of life, and as a Physical Therapist it is my job to evaluate and develop an individualized plan for each and every person that comes to the practice.

Q: What advice do you have for aspiring physical therapists who are considering this profession?

A: If you want a rewarding career in which you build relationships and help heal patients throughout their lives, then becoming a Physical Therapist may be the right choice for you.
