Dr. Shiri-lee Uriel

PT, DPT, CSCS

Dr. Shiri-lee Uriel graduated from Downstate Medical Center, Brooklyn NY in 2010 with her doctorate in physical therapy.  She continued with her professional development in 2011 when she was certified as a strength and conditioning specialist by the National Strength and Conditioning Association.

With over 10 years of Orthopedic Physical Therapy experience serving many NYC communities, Dr. Uriel is an attentive and analytical physical therapist.  With her extensive clinical experience, she is an excellent diagnostician who takes her time and listens to the patient’s description of symptoms and ultimately their goals with physical therapy. She will work to get to the root of the issue and work to resolve those symptoms with a hands-on manual approach that incorporates specific exercises based on an analysis of posture and muscle imbalances.

Dr. Uriel specializes in treating sports injuries and post-surgical shoulders, knees, foot & ankle injuries, acute and/or chronic hip/back pain, neck pain and scoliosis. She is also skilled at treating dancers, runners, overhead athletes and weekend warriors. She uses a combination of yoga, Pilates and manual techniques such as myofascial release, trigger point therapy, active muscle release technique, joint mobilizations and manual stretching.

During her leisure time Shiri-lee loves nature, animals, Pilates, Yoga, painting, drawing, and playing keyboards.

“She was the best therapist I’ve ever seen and she truly helped me after I had hip surgery.

“She is a great physical therapist! She is professional, knowledgeable, and very caring.
She listens to you, asks questions, and examines your body so she can give her patient the best possible treatment. So it's NOT "One size - fits all" treatment.

I learned so much… specifically about body awareness, how to activate my shoulder blades when exercising. The app that provides that "exercise homework" is awesome and so easy to use. I highly recommend Sarrica Physical Therapy & Wellness.

Rethinking the standards of physical therapy, one
patient at a time.
