Dr. Marcello Sarrica, PT, DPT, OCS, COMT, CSCS

Dr. Marcello Sarrica PT, DPT, OCS, COMT, CSCS, received his doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2006 from Long Island University. Upon graduation, he was awarded the department's highest honor of “clinical excellence.”  He received his board certification as an orthopedic clinical specialist (OCS) by the APTA and is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) by the National Strength & Conditioning Association (NSCA).  Most recently, Dr. Sarrica added to his certifications by completing a rigorous curriculum to become Certified as an Orthopedic Manual Therapist. Marcello is also certified in CPR/AED by the American Heart Association. 

Marcello’s background in exercise physiology, strength & conditioning and personal training has allowed him to work with individuals of all ages in Manhattan for the last five years. During this time he has successfully treated many orthopedic and sports medicine related injuries that are both post-operative and non-operative in nature.  

Marcello believes that high quality one-on-one physical therapy tailored to one’s needs is the most effective way to get patients better, faster.  Marcello focuses on educating patients about their injuries so they can be more engaged in their healing and recovery.

His clients range from community-dwelling older adults to the CEO's of Fortune 500 companies to young athletes. In his work with both young and older adults, he seeks to help each individual reach his or her goal in a safe manner.

Since 2011, Marcello has worked as an independent Physical Therapist/Strength & Conditioning Specialist for Balance Integration Corporation/Bloomberg Corporation, NYC in their Wellness program.  His efforts have led to a reduction in weight, reduction in body fat, increase in muscle mass/tone, improvement in blood levels, and a better outlook toward their health for hundreds of Bloomberg’s employees.

Marcello has also co-authored a chapter in a textbook Therapeutic Programs for Musculoskeletal Disorders, designed specifically for residents and fellows.

During his leisure time, Marcello enjoys spending time with his family, playing baseball and softball, doing weight training and taking long walks with his wife Patrizia and daughter Valentina and son Giancarlo.



Paul Nasri, PT, DPT

Dr. Paul Nasri, PT, DPT

Dr. Paul Nasri PT, DPT is a New York State licensed physical therapist at Sarrica Physical Therapy & Wellness. He graduated from The Graduate Center, City University of New York with his Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) in 2016. He also holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Exercise Physiology from The College at Brockport, SUNY where he developed a sports performance and biomechanics background.

Dr. Nasri has experience working with marathon runners in Manhattan, NY treating sports and orthopedics related injuries. He specialized in conducting running analyses to assess and reduce the risk of injury during training. Taking a goal oriented approach, he designs running programs that are tailored to ones’ needs and capabilities.

Paul works as a staff physical therapist at Staten Island University Hospital- Northwell Health. He works in the inpatient rehab department and currently treats patients with neurological deficits, including those who have had a stroke, spinal cord injury, or traumatic brain injury. He also treats patients who have had total joint replacements, helping them return to premorbid function.

Dr. Nasri is most passionate about one-on-one treatment sessions to best understand the specific needs of each of his patients. He utilizes manual therapy techniques such as myofascial release, instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM), neurodynamics, and joint mobilization to assist in the healing process. Dr. Nasri believes in coupling his hands-on work with patient education, specific therapeutic exercise interventions, and functional strengthening to maximize each therapy session.

Paul has continuing education training in Kinesiotaping® techniques and incorporates these techniques into his practice. He is pursuing specialist certifications in orthopedics and manual physical therapy.

Jodi Gentili, Ms. Lac, is a board certified and licensed acupuncturist, specializing in chronic and acute pain management, holistic lifestyle
and chronic disease.  She received her Master’s Degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from Tri-State College of Acupuncture in May 2013 and received her Bachelor’s Degree from the School of Medicine and Science in Exercise Physiology from West Virginia University.  

With her education and passion for athletics and pain management, Jodi uses the latest techniques, including but not limited to trigger point therapy, cupping and myofascial release. These techniques are applied to achieve a patient’s specific goals in health and wellness.  She maintains a healthy lifestyle by meditating daily, strength training and practicing yoga to balance her hectic NYC lifestyle.  

Jodi uses a personal one on one approach and practical real life solutions to help patients on their individual path to wellness.  Her passion brings a new perspective to health, nutrition and personal wellness.  

Jodi understands the body and mind as fundamentally interconnected and encourages her patients to appreciate the significance of both when addressing their health concerns.  She envisions the future of medicine to be wholly integrative and considers it her mission as a medical practitioner to bring eastern philosophy of physical, mental and spiritual health into the framework of modern healthcare system.  Her caring and compassion is rooted in a desire to help others discover their innate capacity to heal and achieve the quality of life they deserve.  


Anthony Giannone

Anthony graduated from The Swedish Institute College of Health Sciences in NYC in December of 2015 and was licensed by American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA) in January 2016.  During his 2-year program at the Swedish Institute he was exposed to different forms of massage ranging from medical/therapeutic to relaxation massage. His education also included different massage theory ranging from Eastern Japanese Shiatsu to Western Swedish influence which allows him to view massage from a unique prospective.  Anthony’s passion for massage and extensive education in anatomy allows him to be client centered. Anthony also currently works in Manhattan, NY at Complete Body Fitness as a licensed massage therapist.  Anthony is certified in CPR/AED & First Aid and also trained in MFR (Myofascial Release) under John Barnes.
